shingle shelves is a composition of different sizes of hanging shelves. The sliding doors are made out of raw leather which is laser cutted in a shingle form. Like the shingles of a roof, the doors are layered above each other in various different formations. One part of the shelf consists of open surfaces, the other part of closed ones. By opening one, you close another. The shelves can be hung together in different formations. All other used materials of the shingle shelves are lead to their raw material too: crude maple wood is building the corpus, the backboard is made out of aluminum. The leather doors will darken with exposure to light and showing the beauty of usage over the years.
